About Alex

I am a New York-based commercial food and restaurant photographer specializing in bringing art to all things food and drink. My passion for capturing the art of food grew from my long-time affair with cooking and eating. I blame it on growing up in South Carolina - a childhood spent immersed in the addictive smell of a deep southern smoked barbecue, burnt ends, and fresh peaches; what would you expect?

To me, every part of the meal is beautiful. From warm shades of spices contrasting vibrant hues of freshly chopped vegetables to the greasy, oozy, mouthwatering mess of a sloppy burger; I strive to illuminate each dish and make them completely irresistible. Even a dirty, post-meal plate stained with the remnants of what once was holds artistry.
